The Diversity Equity Inclusion Committee (DEIC) formerly known as the Cultural Humility Committee (CHC) of the Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health strives to reduce/eliminate cultural disparity by improving access to culturally and linguistically sensitive/competent mental health services for individuals living with mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders.

The DEIC works collaboratively to promote and enhance awareness of and improve competency for cultural and linguistic diversity in Fresno County.

DEIC needs your support and participation to achieve continuing: Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Education, Stigma Reduction, Suicide Prevention, Cultural/Community Defined Practices, Wellness Recovery & Resiliency Support, and Cultural Competency.

The DEIC meets on the 1st Thursday of the month at Heritage Centre, 3127 N Millbrook Ave. Fresno, CA. 93703 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. (Currently meeting virtually due to the global COVID-19 pandemic)
