WestsideGSA

Welcome to the County of Fresno GSA - Westside Area within the Westside Sub-basin.  The Westside Sub-basin covers 972 square miles (622,215 acres) and spans approximately 17 miles east and west and 67 miles from Mendota to Kettleman City (see map below).

On October 18, 2016, the County of Fresno and the Westlands Water District (District) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and the development and implementation of a single Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for the entire Westside Sub-basin.

This web page provides information and resources related to the Westside Groundwater Sub-basin. The goal is to keep groundwater users and other interested parties informed and to provide an opportunity to get involved in the development of the Plan, pursuant to State Legislation, with the goal of achieving sustainable groundwater management.
