November 2, 2021 UDEL Election

Voting at home is a safe, secure way for voters to cast their ballots in the November 2, 2021 UDEL Election. Voters will receive their ballot in the mail, and they can return it in the envelope provided to an accessible ballot drop box. Ballot drop boxes are being installed for the convenience of voters. Voters may also return their ballots by mail in the postage paid envelope. There will be in-person Vote Centers open for voters who need assistance, want to vote on an accessible tablet, need to obtain a replacement ballot, need language assistance, need to register and vote in person, or any other reason.

Important Dates

  • July 12, 2021 - August 6, 2021:  Candidate filing period
  • August 11, 2021: Last day for extended filing period if incumbent fails to file
  • September 3, 2021 - September 18, 2021: Issue ballots to military and overseas voters
  • September 23, 2021 – October 4, 2021: County Voter Information Guides in mail.
  • October 4, 2021: Mail ballots mailed; if you do not receive your vote-by-mail ballot by October 11, 2021, call 600-VOTE (8683)
  • October 4, 2021: First day of early voting
  • October 18, 2021: Close of registration for this election
  • October 19, 2021 - November 2, 2021:  Conditional Voter Registration; in person at all Vote Centers and at the County Clerk’s office at 2221 Kern Street, Fresno, CA 93721 
  • October 23, 2021: 11-Day Vote Centers open 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  
  • October 26, 2021: Last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot by mail
  • October 30, 2021: 4-day Vote Centers open 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • November 2, 2021:  Election Day, voting 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
