The Department of Human Resources (HR) provides centralized countywide human resources management and oversight for functions and services pertaining to:
- benefits administration
- classification and compensation
- development and training
- general liability and property claims management
- labor relations
- performance management
- recruitment and selection
- risk management
- worker’s compensation
The major program areas managed by the Department include Administration, Employment Services, Employee Benefits, Labor Relations, and Risk Management.
Our team partners with Departments to assist in accomplishing department workforce goals, provide HR expertise, and lead change. Additionally, we are committed to supporting County employees throughout their career.
The Administrative Unit is responsible for the Division's administrative and business functions, budgeting, finance, strategic planning, research and development and legislative analysis. In addition, this unit provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and other major program areas.
