The Fresno County Department of Public Health, Vital Statistics Program registers all births and deaths in Fresno County and issues birth and death certificates for the current and previous year only. To request birth/death certificates from previous years, you must contact the Fresno County Recorder's office. The Vital Statistics program also registers Out-of-Hospital births for children under one year of age born in Fresno County. The program is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the automated registry system and for ensuring that document sealing and amendment activities comply with State requirements.
