Applications
The Application Team ensures seamless operation, optimization, and support of software systems, empowering County departments with reliable and efficient technology solutions. From researching and implementing cost-effective software alternatives to troubleshooting technical issues and managing user access, we provide comprehensive assistance. We also collaborate with vendors, develop training materials, and facilitate system upgrades to enhance productivity, security, and overall functionality, ensuring that County staff can serve residents effectively.
Application Development
The Application Development team specializes in integrating and automating systems to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency. This team designs and implements tailored and pre-built solutions, ensuring seamless functionality within the ServiceNow platform while providing insight into asset dependencies through CMDB monitoring. Additionally, they build and maintain custom software, support off-the-shelf solutions like Web CMS and SharePoint, and equip department development teams with the tools and resources they need for effective deployment and source code control.
Asset Management
Our Asset Management (AMU) services ensure seamless procurement, tracking, and processing of County hardware and software. AMU handles software purchases, renewals, and product procurement, sourcing competitive quotes from vendors. This team maintains comprehensive records of all purchased assets and provides backup support, while receiving ensures efficient processing of incoming hardware.
Communications
The Communications team ensures seamless connectivity by managing and optimizing mobile and office communication devices. Communications handle the ordering, activation, reassignment, and surplus of cell phones, laptops, and tablets while programming desk phones, softphones, IVR systems, and more. Additionally, they address billing inquiries to provide efficient and reliable support for our customers' communication needs.
Cybersecurity
The Cybersecurity team provides robust protection through advanced solutions ensuring both staff and vendors have secure, controlled access to essential systems and Active Directory environments. This team proactively mitigates threats by swiftly responding to incidents such as phishing, malware, and viruses, while meticulously managing Group Policies and AppLocker exceptions. Additionally, their expertise in Entra/Azure management guarantees reliable troubleshooting and optimized performance of our cloud and enterprise applications.
Database
The Database team ensures our data remains secure, efficient, and readily accessible. This team creates new databases and SQL servers while providing secure, least-permission based access to production and development environments for customers, IT analysts, and vendors. Additionally, they protect our data by performing on-demand backups before major changes, refreshing production data for testing, and offering comprehensive support from table modifications to SQL job scheduling.
Desktop
The Desktop team delivers comprehensive end-user support to ensure our technology runs seamlessly. This team handles everything from deploying, installing, and configuring new hardware (PCs, monitors, etc.) to troubleshooting software, network issues, and audiovisual equipment, ensuring every workstation and peripheral is optimized for peak performance. Additionally, they provide instruction, streamlined hardware moves, and proactive technical advice to empower our customers to work efficiently and effectively.
ERP
The ERP team administers the Financial Accounting, HR/Payroll, and Budget systems that keep the County running smoothly by ensuring timely payments and essential financial management. This team delivers key accounting insights to support the efficient, cost-effective management of County resources, all while upholding strict confidentiality. Additionally, they handle access requests and provide comprehensive support, empowering departments with the tools they need to navigate ERP systems with ease.
GIS
The GIS team leverages cutting-edge technology to deliver comprehensive spatial intelligence solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. This team offers an expansive suite of services, from advanced mapping, geolocation, and drone imagery capture to automated scripting, geoprocessing, and geostatistics, that empower effective resource management, risk assessment, and emergency response. Supported by robust backend server management, geodatabase administration, and dynamic dashboard creation, their expertise ensures precise decision-making tailored to our unique operational needs.
Graphics
The Graphics team delivers custom design and high-end printing services that bring vision to life, from marketing collateral and signage to SWAG and apparel. This team coordinates with vendors to ensure consistent quality in large format printing, color and black & white copying, and finish bindery services like cutting, padding, and packaging. Additionally, their efficient intra and external mail services guarantee the printed materials are delivered promptly and professionally countywide.
ITIL/ITSM
The ITIL/ITSM team delivers robust IT management by ensuring comprehensive software compliance and seamless deployment across the County network, coordinating closely with internal teams and directly engaging with customers when needed. This team supports a unified platform for incidents, request, and change management while diligently overseeing asset configurations from order to surplus, including expanding support for the ServiceNow ecosystem. This holistic approach empowers the County with secure, efficient, and responsive IT services tailored to meet its evolving needs.
Network
Our Network team is dedicated to designing, implementing, and supporting robust connectivity solutions that empower County employees to deliver essential public services. They expertly handle low voltage cabling, including data, ethernet, and fiber drops, manage firewall configurations, and perform network setup, troubleshooting, and device configuration to ensure a secure and efficient digital infrastructure.
Project Management
The Project Management team serves as a driving force behind streamlined operations, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and strategic alignment across County initiatives. By continuously enhancing ServiceNow’s Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) module, the team optimizes project intake, categorization, and execution while fostering structured oversight and accountability. Radio
The Radio Communications Team ensures seamless, reliable connection for public safety operations in Fresno and Madera Counties. From installing and maintaining two-way radio systems, repeaters, and antennas to optimizing signal strength and integrating networks, they provide essential communication solutions. Their expertise in interference mitigation and dispatch console systems keeps emergency responders connected when it matters most.
Service Desk
The Service Desk team provides comprehensive technical support, ensuring smooth access to essential systems and resources. From login assistance and password resets to software management and troubleshooting remote devices, they help users navigate IT challenges efficiently. Their commitment to structured support and security ensures seamless operations, proper documentation, and accurate access management across departments.
Systems
The Systems Team provides comprehensive IT infrastructure management, ensuring reliability, security, and seamless operations. The team handles backup and disaster recovery planning, IT policy support, cloud and hybrid environment administration (Azure, AWS), Microsoft 365 services, and enterprise infrastructure deployment and maintenance. Additionally, they manage server design, monitoring, capacity forecasting, vendor coordination, and documentation, supporting optimal performance and scalability.
Web Development
The Web Development team ensures seamless digital accessibility by maintaining and supporting County web content across platforms like eServices, SharePoint, and www.fresnocountyca.gov. This team collaborates with content creators to keep information accurate, user-friendly, and up to date, enhancing the County’s online presence and functionality.
