FRESNO COUNTY HOLDS COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS ON HOMELESS HOUSING, ASSISTANCE, AND PREVENTION GRANT PROGRAM

FRESNO, CA – The County of Fresno is inviting county residents to participate in interactive community workshops to discuss how the next round of Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention (HHAP) funding can address the needs of people who are experiencing homelessness. Fresno County partners including the City of Fresno, the County of Madera, and Fresno Madera Continuum of Care will also hold community workshops (see attached flier for additional details).

The first meeting takes place tonight from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Rescue Mission at 332 Elm Street, Madera, CA 93638.

Fresno County meetings will take place at 5:30 pm on November 13, 2023, at Selma City Hall and at 5:30 pm on November 15, 2023, at Mendota City Hall.

The funding comes from HHAP5 grant funding through the State’s California Interagency Council on Homelessness and the Department of Housing and Community Development.

The total allocated by the legislature for this HHAP 5 statewide is $1 billion.
