These paraphrased questions and associated responses are not part of the contract documents and shall have no bearing whatsoever on the interpretation of the Standard Specifications, the Standard Plans, the Special Provisions, or the Plans. Nor shall they have any bearing whatsoever on the interpretation of other publications referenced therein.

Questions without answers may be posted here to indicate that we have received them before the deadline and we intend to respond.

Is there a standard bid bond form for this project or will one from the surety work?  (RFC 50072  submitted 11/4/2022)

The bid bond itself can be issued by the surety insurer. The section of the electronic solicitation or hardcopy bid, "Bid Security and Signature," - Proposal 4 should be filled out with information regarding the bid bond by the bidder. Response date: 11/04/2022   

Just want to verify we can turn this bid in via hard copy and not through BidExpress, correct? How do we get added to list of plan holders? (RFC 50075 submitted 11/4/2022) 

Yes, you may submit a bid via hardcopy or through BidExpress as specified in the Notice to Bidders. The Request to be Added to the Planholders form can be found on the project website under "Sign Up for Project Updates." Response date: 11/04/2022 

Per RFQ "A valid California Contractor's License, Class A (General Engineering) or Class C-27 (Landscaping Contractor) is required for this project." Is a C61-D49 with a LTO Lic 'A' acceptable in place there of requested licensing  (RFC 50096 submitted 11/7/2022)

Are the trees marked? (RFC 50201 submitted 11/14/2022)

Do we need to grind or remove the stumps? (RFC 50202 submitted 11/14/2022)   
 
No, tree stumps do not need to be removed by the Contractor. Response date: 11/23/2022
