The County of Fresno's Community Development Division is dedicated to improving the living environment and local economy for all residents of Fresno County.

The Community Development Division is responsible for implementing a variety of grants and programs to develop and promote viable communities by improving housing, providing a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities.

Community Development Programs are provided solely through the use of grant funds such as the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Program, Neighborhood Stabilization Program and other Federal and State grants. Agritourism funding is provided by the Fresno County Board of Supervisors.

Draft Plans, Substantial Amendments & Environmental Assessments Requesting Public Comment

The below-listed draft plans and/or substantial amendments are currently requesting public comment.  Provided are the draft plans and/or substantial amendments, and copies of the published request for public comment or notice of public hearing.  The published notices provide information on the means of providing public comment and the date by which comments must be received.  If a public hearing is being held, the public comment period will end the day of the public hearing, unless stated otherwise.

Draft 2021-2022 CAPER

A Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) is required annually to provide information on the County's use of Federal funds received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs, as well as supplemental CDBG funding under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), and resulting outcomes and progress toward meeting goals identified in the County's Strategic Plan and Annual Action Plans.  This CAPER reports on the use of funds and resulting outcomes for the 2021-2022 Action Plan.
