The project consists of paving 4-foot wide shoulders on each side of the existing 24-foot travelway on Adams Avenue from Cherry Avenue to Clovis Avenue (approximately 4.54 miles), followed by grading an additional 4-feet to bring the shoulder width to 8-feet. The 4-foot shoulder will be paved with Asphalt Concrete over compacted native soil. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve air quality by decreasing the amount of airborne particulate matter caused by vehicles traveling along the roadway.

The project is mostly complete with a current cost of $1,000,000.
