Kings River Green Belt Park

Kings River Green Belt Access

Kings River Green Belt Park is an undeveloped park located along the Kings River on Piedra Road. The 139 acre park consists of grazing land and an abundance of trees bordering the Kings River. The park is currently leased for cattle grazing annually.

 

There is fishing access and a small parking lot for fishermen. There are no restroom, picnic, campfire, or trash facilities. This location observes Pack It In, Pack It Out for waste and litter.  In addition, we encourage visitors to practice Leave No Trace seven principles.

Summer Hours: April 1st - September 30th from 7 AM to 10 PM
Winter Hours: October 1st - March 31st from 7 AM to 7 PM

Directions

Kings River Green Belt Park is located on Piedra Road 20 miles east of Fresno. From downtown Fresno drive east on Highway 180 17.5 miles, then north Piedra Road for 1.8 miles to the Kings River Green Belt Park on the left. There is a small fishing access parking lot next to the Bird Slough approximately 1/8th of a mile from the entrance. 

History

Kings River Green Belt Park was acquired by Fresno County with State grant funds from the 1964 Cameron / Unruh Bond Act.
