**Winton Park is Open**
*UPDATE* FRESNO, CA, Monday, August 14, 2023 - Winton Park is open. Fresno County Parks is currently working to remove debris and conduct cleanups within the parks effected by the winter storms. Work may continue within certain sectioned off areas while parks are open to the public. Please remain patient and your cooperation is appreciated during the reopening process.

Winton Park is 24 acre day use park located on the Kings River. The park has BBQs, picnic tables, and two restrooms. The park is available for fishing and provides great access to the Kings River.
County of Fresno wishes to remind residents and park patrons that swimming in the river is not recommended while water releases are occurring. The water flows are much higher and result in faster currents. Turn Around, Don't Drown!
Summer Hours: April 1st - September 30th from 7 AM to 10 PM
Winter Hours: October 1st - March 31st from 7 AM to 7 PM
Entrance fees at all developed Parks is $5 per vehicle

Winton Park is on the Kings River near the Trimmer Springs - Piedra Road intersection approximately 26 miles east of Fresno. Drive east of Highway 180 (Ventura Street) 17.5 miles to Piedra Road. Turn left on Piedra Road and drive 7.9 miles to the Winton Park on the left.
Winton Park was originally developed in 1954 for public recreation by the Fresno County Sportsmen's Club with a lease through the Bureau of Land Management. A portion of Winton Park was once adjacent to the Piedra branch and rail yard of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad. Winton Park was acquired by the County of Fresno on December 12, 1961.
