EIR 6606 Riverbend Sand and Gravel

Project Description

In January 2013, Riverbend Sand and Gravel submitted an application to the County for a CUP permit and a Surface Mining and Reclamation Plan for an aggregate mine and related processing plants. The mining operations would be typical of sand and gravel wet mining operations. Riverbend Sand and Gravel would be the mine operator. It is expected that approximately 90 million tons of sand and gravel would be extracted over the 75 year life of the Project. Approximately 70 million tons of finished material would be transported off-site for use in construction projects throughout the region.
