The working days listed in the specification is Twenty (20). That seems very low in my estimation. I would suggest Seventy-Five (75) working days. (RFC 50456 submitted 12/6/2022)

See Addendum #1. See Addendum #2. Response date 12/09/2022, revised 1/05/2023

Does the County have the street names, lengths and width of the proposed roadways? (RFC 50615  submitted 12/19/2022)

We have posted a listing of road data(PDF, 98KB) as requested.  This information should be considered tentative and does not include number of lanes or their associated conditions.  Road segments within the identified areas may be added or removed and the quantity will be paid accordingly. Response date: 12/27/2022

Given the amount of area to cover the working days may not be adequate to complete the project. Would the County consider increasing the amount of working days?  (RFC 50616  submitted 12/19/2022)

The number of working days has already been increased. See RFC #50456 and Addendum #1. Response date: 12/20/2022

Some of these roads are not candidates for crack seal. The areas of concern are near Shaver lake and South of Manning Near Mertle, Caruthers, and others. I was just wondering if the County is going to have another contractor perform digouts in these areas? RFC 50617 Screenshot(PDF, 783KB) (RFC 50617 submitted 12/19/2022)

We are aware of other pavement distresses where crack sealing is not appropriate.  In general, this project will address only the cracks ranging from ¼" – 1.5" wide.  Further pavement repairs will either self-performed by County forces or included in upcoming slurry, chip, or overlay projects. Response date: 12/22/2022

What's the projected start date for this project? (RFC 50618  submitted 12/19/2022)

The notice to proceed will likely be issued 4-6 weeks after award.  Work will commence as weather permits. Response date: 12/22/2022

Specification No. 37-5.03 B and 37-6.03
Is anything greater than 1 inch or 1.5 inches required to be filled or does that fall under "as ordered" and subject to change order work? Specification 37-5.03B Surface Preparations (pg. 117 of 414) and Specification 37-6.03 Construction (pg. 122 of 414) contradict each other. (RFC 50619 submitted 12/19/2022)

Section 37-5 (pg 117) only pertains to Parking Area Seals.  Parking Areas are not included in this contract. Response date: 12/22/2022

Per Addendum #1 you are suggesting 50 working days just for the base bid, 178 LNM with one crew working days needed plus minus 95, Alt 1-4 Days, Alt 2-1 Day, Alt 3-1 Day, Alt 4-1 Day & Alt 5-2 Days. The working days per Addendum# 1 are insufficient to complete the project. We suggest a 110 working days window for the base and the alternates. (RFC 50788  submitted 1/2/2023)

The number of working days used in Addendum #1 was based on the rate of crack sealing work performed in the last chip seal project. After further review and research, we agree that the progress of this current contract work may be slower. See Addendum #2. Response date: 01/04/2023

We have noticed that you have requested a minimum License requirement "A" or C-12. The State of California requires a C-32 for Crack Seal Only Contractors. Is that something you would allow? (RFC 50860 submitted 1/6/2023)

See Addendum #3. Response date: 01/06/2023

The Construction project Sign Item 3 is for 2 Lump Sums. Is this an error? The signage is to be described in the Project details , but nothing is named. So is it 2 signs or as many as you want? Same applies for the Alts. How many signs? (RFC 50962  submitted 1/12/2023)

See Addendum #4. Response date: 01/12/2023
