Building Permit Requirements per Assembly Bill 2234
Assembly Bill (AB) 2234 requires local jurisdictions to provide requirements for any post-entitlement phase permit for projects that are majority or entirely residential. This includes required documents for submission of an application and examples for five types of housing projects.
Per the AB 2234, our office must determine whether an application is complete within 15 days of receiving the application, and project review must be completed within 30 days for projects 25 units or fewer, and within 60 days for projects 26 units or more. We must also provide an online permit application system.

Health & Safety Code section 19851, subd. (a) prohibits the County from duplicating the official copy of any building plans. The official copy of the building plans associated with the building permits listed above is therefore available for public review during regular Departmental business hours at 2220 Tulare Street, Suite A, Fresno, CA 93721.
