The Fresno County Road Maintenance and Operations Division is responsible for maintaining and improving the county's road network, which consists of over 3,400 miles of paved and unpaved roads. The division performs various tasks such as patching potholes, grading gravel roads, clearing snow and ice, installing and repairing signs and striping lanes, responding to emergencies and service requests, transportation and road encroachment permits, and safety inspections of County of Fresno roads and bridges. The division's mission is to provide safe and efficient transportation for the public and to enhance the quality of life in Fresno County.
