If you are eligible to receive CalFresh or Cash benefits, you will receive a plastic card called an EBT card.  Your benefits will automatically be loaded to your EBT card every  month.

To use your benefits, you or someone you authorize can use the EBT card [along with your Personal Identification Number (PIN)] to access CalFresh or Cash benefits electronically at a participating retailer by using a point of sale (POS) machine.  Cash benefits can be accessed at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM).

Your EBT card will be getting some new safety features soon.  Learn more about it on the New EBT Card webpage.
