Learn how to apply and work with the Fresno County Mental Health Plan.
The Fresno County Mental Health Plan (FCMHP) works to provide high-quality care with respect, compassion, and support for both clients and providers.
FCMHP partners with licensed behavioral health professionals, including:
- Psychiatrists
- Psychologists
- Clinical Social Workers
- Marriage and Family Therapists
- Registered Nurses
These providers serve people in Fresno County who have Medi-Cal.
Who Can Apply
Licensed behavioral health providers who want to work with Medi-Cal clients through FCMHP must complete an application.
There are different applications based on your role:
- Individual or Group Provider Application
- Organizational Provider Application (licensed or certified staff)
- Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) Application
- Non-Clinical Staff Application

Requirements
To become a provider, you must meet credentialing requirements and be willing to:
- Accept new clients
- Work respectfully with clients and their families
- Provide culturally appropriate care
- Work with FCMHP staff to approve services
- Take part in site or facility reviews
Psychiatrists who provide inpatient care must have admitting privileges at approved facilities, including Skilled Nursing Facilities.
