New Hire Compliance/Doc Billing Training

Once credentialed with the Fresno County Behavioral Health Plan, all newly hired SMHS providers must complete both the New Hire Compliance training and New Hire FCDBH Mental Health Documentation & Billing Training within 30 days of hire date. Training requirements are for all staff and contracted providers who provide direct services, process billing, QA, clinical supervision, etc.

All newly hired SUD/SUD ODS providers must complete both New Hire Compliance training and FCDBH SUD Documentation and Billing training prior to the delivery of any SUD services and annually thereafter. Training requirements are for all staff and contracted providers who provide direct services, process billing, QA, clinical supervision, etc.

New Hire General Compliance Training is available online via Relias and on our website. FCDBH SUD Documentation and Billing training is solely available via Relias. FCDBH Mental Health Documentation and Billing Training is also available via Relias or online via the instructions below.

FCDBH Mental Health Clinical Documentation & Billing – New Hire Training in Relias (Preferred)

Instructions for completing FCDBH Mental Health Clinical Documentation & Billing – New Hire Training in Relias:

If your program/agency is part of the DBH Relias Network, your staff shall complete the training in Relias through your program’s user accounts on DBH’s Relias Network at https://fcdbh.training.reliaslearning.com/:
- Assign the following module to any staff that needs to complete the new hire mental Health documentation and billing training:

If you would like to use Relias, but your program does not use DBH’s Relias Network. Instead, you use your agency’s account (i.e., you access Relias through a website that is not https://fcdbh.training.reliaslearning.com/)
- Please have your program’s Relias administrator email the DBH Relias Inbox at dbhrelias@fresnocountyca.gov requesting access to: Department of Behavioral Health - FCDBH Mental Health Clinical Documentation & Billing – New Hire Training
- Once you have received confirmation from the DBH Relias Team that the module has been shared, assign the following module to any staff who need to complete the Training: Department of Behavioral Health - FCDBH Mental Health Clinical Documentation & Billing – New Hire Training
- Please note that if you opt into this method, you will also need to provide training completion records to DBHPlanAdministration@fresnocountyca.gov . If you have any questions about setting up this process in Relias, please contact the DBH Relias Team.
- Send Relias Report showing completion of the FCDBH Mental Health Clinical Documentation & Billing – New Hire Training or all new staff that completed the training at the end of each month to DBHPlanAdministration@fresnocountyca.gov .

If your program/agency has access to Relias either through the DBH Relias Network directly or through your agency’s account, the FCDBH Documentation & Billing – New Hire Training must be completed on the Relias platform.
Only if your program/agency does not have access to Relias, individual provider staff members may complete this County requirement via the following online:

1. Download a copy of the FCDBH Mental Health Documentation & Billing – New Hire Training presentation.

3. Download, fill out, scan to pdf, and submit a copy of the FCDBH Mental Health Documentation & Billing-New Hire Training Acknowledgement Form to DBHPlanAdministration@fresnocountyca.gov .
