CLAS Standards Training
The Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards Training
The training is designed to equip public health professionals with the essential knowledge and tools for delivering culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate services and messages throughout the community.
CLAS Standards Play a Key Role in:

Addressing Health Disparities: Identify and reduce health disparities and gaps in access to services.

Promoting Health Equity: Supporting equity access to quality, culturally responsive public health services.

Improve Health Communication: Ensuring that everyone, regardless of cultural background or language proficiency, can access and understand public health information and services that respect their unique needs.
Using the CLAS Toolkit to Evaluate Health Education Materials
Public health professionals can use this toolkit to assess health education materials, including flyers, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, and other resources. The training covers key evaluation criteria, such as organization, writing style, visual appeal, translation quality, and accessibility.

Who Should Register?
We strongly encourage all public health professionals who work with community members to attend this training. Eligible participants may include, but are not limited to, epidemiologists, health educators, community health workers (CHWs), health policy analysts, healthcare researchers, public health administrators, representatives of government health agencies and public health-focused nonprofit organizations, and others committed to advancing health equity and equitable public health services.
